TALENT – HEAD OF COMMERCIAL FINANCE

Sports X were delighted to be instructed by Wasps Rugby Football Club, a professional rugby union team who play in Premiership Rugby, England’s top division, to source a key member of the senior finance team. A newly created role, the Head of Commercial Finance needed to be hired to lead the commercial accounting function of the department, encouraging a business partnering culture to support both revenue driving and cost saving measures across all divisions of the business.

In addition, reviewing processes within the finance department and bringing about change where required. Working in partnership with our client we managed the full life cycle of the recruitment process enabling Wasps to hire a best in class candidate from the finance department of a Premier League Football Club.
